Moving past the church scandal.......almost there.

The amount of support that I have received has been truly tremendous. Just a little background, I co-hosted an internet radio program titled 'Lions Roar". The main host was "Reverend" Thomas Humphrey. It was a weekly show discussing politics, current events, and Donald Trump. It was an interesting gig to say the least, but I enjoyed the different guest every week. Little did anyone know was that during our photo opts, Humphrey seized the opportunity to touch and grab me inappropriately. This went on for a few months, only because it was very hard for me to speak up against a person who portrays himself to be a Reverend. I was afraid no one would believe me. Always, it went to a trial jury and he was found guilty. Now the sentencing is coming up this December 18th, 2020. I will be present to read my victims impact statement. What I've been through and the pain I had endured

Moving on.
Ok enough of that! It's in the past, yes. But sometimes it's hard to let that pain go. I had no one really to talk to, I kept that to myself, it was eating me up inside. I came across the organization RAINN when I was looking for an outlet of my anger and frustrating, Not to mention my shame. RAINN is the nation's largest anti-sexual violence organization. They provide best in its class services for survivors, it informs and educates the nation about sexual violence, and improves the public policy and criminal justice response to these kinds of crimes. But that's the problem too, many men still believe that its not a crime, that no means yes. I know I know, its sounds crazy but its true. What else can a woman do? well for starters we can learn how to protect ourselves. I joined an organization that teaches self defense. I may not win physically but at least I put up a good fight. I'm slowly getting over this, I am still jumpy. My anxiety is way over the top. Here are some tips to help prevent a sexual assault.

Do what you can
1. Create a distraction. Do what you can to interrupt the situation that you see going on.
2. Ask directly. like," Would you like me to stay with you?"
3. Refer to an authority. Sometimes the safest way to intervene is to refer to a security guard or the authorities. To speak with someone who is trained to help, please call the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1-800-656-4673 or chat online at www.online.rainn.org
Do not be afraid to say no and push away, someone will believe you. The more we talk about it, the more awareness we spread around and its not too embarrassing to talk about. It's even worse when a position in authority does this shit, Because then you really don't think anyone will believe you. But trust me they will. This topic along with child sex trafficking are my pet peeves, along with government corruption. I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving and be thankful. I know I am thankful for so much, my children, spouse, health and doing what I love to do.

Peace and Love!

for Long Island women. We believe women should be able to defend
themselves with fists, as well as firearms. Not only to be able to protect

and firearms. What makes the club different from others is that we are a
sisterhood. We support one another and network within the sisterhood to
ensure we grow together.
